Dust is in the air...

Some of the tiles did not wanted to come out, so a call was made to the power tools.

This thing cuts concrete by pulverizing it into the air (meaning, the house is dirty again).

The raining season.

The raining season has made a debut with a great display of dark clouds and storms. This year, it is coming a little bit earlier, it shouldn't be here until the end of the next month.

On the bright side, this means that the skys will be loaded with water drops in suspension, acting like a jigant filter, distorting sun light. From now on, sunrises and sunsets will have all thouse red colors we love so much. Ahhh...Photoshop would not even get close to the real thing... I love the rainy season....

I am already charging the camera battery...

Sunrise, Saturday 26 of March, 6:32am

I knew it!!!

I am one of the few lucky ones that actually get younger every year :-P

You Are 21 Years Old

21

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Jack the Ripper.

There is a saying: “Just like Jack the ripper, let's go by parts”. My mind works a lot this way. This is what have always helped me solve all kind of logical problems (programming, mechanics, electric, etc).

Tonight I was thinking about “the human drama”. It seemed to me that everybody has one, or fall insto one by the presure of society. That thought evolved to thinking about “the reality”, and how it represents everything we see, smell, feel or think.

But that is not everything, because everybody has a different reality, depending of his “experiences” in life. All right, this is getting deep (complicated) for me.

Now, “experiences” are also biased by body biological functions. Not two humans produce identical hormones, with identical receptors on the cells with identical temperature sensors, or eyesight or hearing, etc...

So, in a very unscientific resolution, we have;
Perception errors or differences at the biological level.
Different experiences thru life, based on personal perception.
Different realities based on the personal experiences.

I find it amazing that we humans get to ever understand each other at any time. We are all living in such different worlds. And still trying to think as if everyone is the same.

Rapid subject change; mosquitoes are trying to feed themselves on my blood, I have taken down six (6) already.

Another subject change; today's blog entry is written on a HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook. Apparently self given presents came early (my birthday is not due until next month).

What a nifty toy.

Fort San Lorenzo [pictorial, 25 shots]

This is a learn by the pictures entry.
It was a trip with the BOA group (see http://www.boapanama.org/).

This was such a great trip. It is the first outdoors biking trip that I do not fell of my bike, get cut, scratch, sunburn or flat. It was just perfect.

today's trip started early. By 6am, I was at Luis's house, and had his bike on my car.

8:30am. We where waiting at Gatun Locks.

The day was a bit clowdy, but it cleared later.

Check point 1. Sherman base.

Just 3 more Kms to get to the Fort.

10:33am Wueee Fort San Lorenzo!

There was a dark tunnel.

.

Taking a break.

The view was refreshing. This is the entrance to the Chagres river.

Looking the other direction.

More arch's

Yet, another view.

Time to return.

Shooting and biking, gets you fuzzy pics.

Back at Sherman base, Fernando is trying to pass me by...

Comig back to the "Civilization". The road was long and hot. But still, surronded by all that green...

Still taking pictures, while driving at 22+km/h... then I wonder why I am always falling down, and geting all cut. But hey, I had to shoot at me, I just had to.

Another shot of the river.

Crossing the Gatun locks again.

Here is a demostration of how to hold the bike, to cross tru narrow spaces.

This is the view at door #7, the next one to the left, is #6. It is holding a lot of water and a big ship.

This is a big door, I was thinking, what would happen, if it get's open?

The last picture (and the best).

Slowly... feels good.

Well, three weeks ago, I started the "remodeling" of the studio [link].
This is a project that is going quite slow, I have no hurry.
I could probably hire somebody to do it for me, with better esthetical results.
Maybe when it comes to actually install the floor.
For now, I will let myself have the pleasure of doing it.
Ahhh... this thing about enjoying the road (wich is where we are most of the time), not just the destination.

Loose nut.

I was biking tonight at the Causeway, and suddenly I hear a sound as something plastic hitting the ground. I pull the brakes, and I see a blinking red light, bouncing, pass me by. It was my tail light.

Apparently due to vibration the bolt got loose, and eventually it fell. Now, what are the chances of finding a black nut and bolt in the middle of the night, without knowing how far behind it fell? Well, I guess this is still my lucky year, and with the help of my portable bike tools, I was back on the road in less than 5 minutes.

I guess it is time to perform the bike maintenance, and check for other loose parts.

PD: Someone in my family (probably with too much time on her hands… hi mom!) found the blog, and spread the voice.
The secret is out. Greetings to my fan club!

Another fine weekend.

I don’t have very much to say tonight.
Some days I just run out of words.

Sunrise, El Palmar, San Carlos.

Just another B&W picture of my desk.
